Tim Lynch

Tim Lynch - InfoLynk Consulting Services Inc.Mr. Lynch founded Info-Lynk Consulting Services in 1985 because of the belief that all too often information is the missing link in health care decision-making. Through his company he has served to facilitate health care decision making between private and public health interests across Canada by timely provision of critical information presented in a relevant, reliable and readable format.

Info-Lynk Consulting was involved in the introduction to the Canadian health care system of a variety of high priced biotechnology medicines during the 1990s. The company conducted national studies on vaccination policy, cancer control, adult urinary incontinence, HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease and cancer support services for the corporate sector. In the insurance market it reviewed of out-of-country insurance coverage and analyses of the automobile rehabilitation services and group health insurance.

Mr. Lynch returned to Toronto in June 2010 having spent ten years based in Vancouver where he did Quality Management reviews of the way SARS and forest fires were handled and best practices and benchmarking in health emergencies as well as analyze community sustainability following a tragedy. He conducted analysis of health governance in BCs devolved but centralized health system. While in BC he did freelance journalism specializing in, and promoting, the BCs maritime history and culture.

Mr. Lynch has a B.Sc. (biochemistry) University of London 1970 and a M.Sc. (Health Services Research) University of Toronto 1975. Following graduate studies he was retained as a consultant by the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and subsequently hired fulltime in a research capacity with a focus on hospital reimbursement and was promoted to Director of Research January 1981.
